Summer antics so far...
We've enjoyed Player's Dinner, HOPFest, Mandy Walker and the Wapping Corporate Games Mixed League. Here are some of the highlights.
Mandy Walker, Saturday 6th June
The 27th anniversary of The Mandy Walker Games. To keep it sweet, the Alumni won. We raised £1,119.53 for charity, Nick Evans won Man of the Match for the Veterans and Olly Martin scored his first goal in forever.
HOPFest, Saturday 16th May
We came first last year, and second this year. There is a famous saying; first the worst, second the best. We're not at all ashamed that we were defeated by a stupidly good team of 8 fun sponges sent by Tulse Hill and Dulwich. We still beat Strand Poly.
CommiTOUR, 10-12th July
A teambuilding expedition took the New Commitee to Luxembourg. Taking part in a competition against a bunch of Europeans, the committee took 3rd place, losing on P-flicks to the Dutch. Nothing wrong with that because our men were the only men man enough to fashion dresses... Luxembourg please accept our deepest apologies.
